Whether you plan ahead or you’re more of a “what are we doing tonight?” person, we want it to be easy to get in the door. Below are a few ways to save on tickets for Friends of Historic Memorial Hall events.
Our best tip: buy early.
Memorial Hall is an intimate room, and some events do sell out. If an event is in high demand, prices may increase as the date approaches—so if you know you want to go, grabbing tickets early is the safest (and often the cheapest) move.

Rush tickets (when available)
Ideal for: students • active military • seniors
When we have seats remaining close to showtime, we may offer a limited number of rush tickets at a discount. Rush availability and pricing can vary by event.
How it works:
- Check the event page on the day of the show for rush details (if available).
- Arrive at Memorial Hall about an hour before showtime.
- Ask our Front of House team about rush tickets at the door and show any required ID.
- If seats are available, you’ll be able to purchase at the rush rate.
Good to know: Rush tickets are limited and subject to availability. Even if seats appear available earlier in the day, they can sell out before doors open.
Student tickets (when available)
We love seeing students in the room. For select performances, we may offer a limited number of discounted student tickets.
How it works:
- Look for “Student Tickets” on the event page (or at checkout, if offered).
- Bring a valid student ID for entry or will-call pickup.
Military & veteran tickets (when available)
We’re glad to welcome military personnel and veterans to the Hall. Select events may include discounted tickets for military/veterans and, when applicable, immediate family.
How it works:
- Check the event page for details.
- Bring a valid military/veteran ID if required.
Group tickets
Bringing friends makes everything better. If you’re coming as a group, we may be able to offer:
- discounted tickets (depending on the event), or
- help with reserved seating so your group can sit together.
To inquire about group tickets, email friends@friendsofthehallvt.org with the event name and approximate group size.
Membership & supporter benefits
If you attend a few events a year and want to support the mission, becoming a Friends supporter is one of the best ways to do it. Depending on the level, supporter benefits may include early ticket access, ticket discounts, or other perks.

A quick note on discounts
Discounted tickets are limited and may not be available for every event. Policies can vary by production, and we’ll always list any available deals directly on the event page so you don’t have to guess.
