Reinvention is our first gala as a truly active, working arts organization

And we’re marking the moment the way Memorial Hall deserves: together, in The Hall, with a night that feels equal parts celebration and momentum.

This is a “Vermont Formal” evening designed to bring the whole community into the same room: year-round locals, second homeowners, regional arts lovers, business supporters, and anyone who believes Memorial Hall should be full of life. Reinvention isn’t about looking back. It’s about stepping into what Friends of Historic Memorial Hall is becoming — a group that produces programs, supports artists, builds partnerships, and keeps the Hall vibrant as a cultural hub for the Deerfield Valley.

Expect a classic gala feel without the stiffness: a warm welcome, well-served food and drinks, and a short, lively program that shares what’s ahead for Friends and for Memorial Hall. Throughout the evening, you’ll enjoy live entertainment (with more details to be announced as plans come together), plus plenty of time to mingle, reconnect, and take in the Hall at its best — filled with energy and purpose.

Reinvention will also include ways to support the work: a raffle, an auction component (details to come), and a likely paddle-raise moment for those who want to help fuel what’s next. Proceeds will go directly toward strengthening Friends of Historic Memorial Hall — supporting year-round programming, building the capacity to do the work well, and growing the resources needed to keep Memorial Hall active, cared for, and welcoming.

Whether you come as an individual, with friends, or as a full table, this is your invitation to be part of the next chapter. Reinvention is a celebration of what’s possible when a community decides the arts matter — and shows up to make it real.
