Rooted is back — and we’re bringing it back because last year proved what Memorial Hall does best: turn a simple night out into a real community moment.

Rooted is a celebration of music and connection in the Deerfield Valley. It’s not a fundraiser. It’s not formal. It’s the kind of evening where the room feels alive — great live sets, familiar faces, new friends, and the easy, welcoming energy that happens when the Hall is doing what it was built to do.

We learned a lot from producing Rooted last year — what flowed, what people loved most, and how to shape the night so it feels fun, comfortable, and effortless from the moment you walk in. This time around, Rooted returns as an official Friends of Historic Memorial Hall production, and our goal is to make it an annual tradition: a signature night that celebrates the music scene around us and the community that shows up for it.

While we’re still finalizing this year’s lineup, you can expect the same spirit that made last year such a hit: a thoughtfully built evening of live music, paired with food and a bar so you can settle in, stay awhile, and make a night of it. Rooted is designed to feel more like a gathering than a “show” — whether you come with a crew or roll in solo, you’ll feel pulled into the room.

As details come together, we’ll be announcing performers and additional pieces of the night later in the year. For now, consider this your heads-up to keep it on your radar.
