Corporate Giving

Partnering with Friends grows a stronger arts scene — and a stronger local economy

Friends of Historic Memorial Hall is a local nonprofit arts organization. When your business supports Friends, you’re not just “sponsoring the arts”—you’re helping create the kind of vibrant downtown and community life that brings people here, keeps them here longer, and gives them a reason to come back.

That means a healthier visitor economy, stronger brand visibility, and a place where people actually want to live and work.

Why partner with Friends?

Supporting Friends of Historic Memorial Hall is more than philanthropy — it’s a practical investment in the community your business depends on.

Corporate partners benefit from:

1) Brand awareness with the right audiences

Put your name in front of locals, second-home owners, and visitors who show up for experiences—and who remember the businesses that help make those experiences possible.

2) A stronger visitor economy

A vibrant arts and cultural scene brings people into town, extends stays, and creates more “reasons to be out”—which translates into more customers and patrons for local businesses.

3) Talent attraction and retention

People choose communities that feel alive. Arts and culture help attract new residents and make it easier for employers to recruit—and keep—great people.

4) Employee engagement and pride

Partnerships create an easy internal morale win and can become a real perk: tickets, shout-outs, and the pride of working for a business that invests locally.

5) Community trust and goodwill

In a small region, reputation matters. Being visible as a community partner builds real loyalty—not just impressions.

6) Practical, flexible recognition

We tailor recognition to fit your goals without turning events into commercials. Options can include logo placement, digital recognition, on-site signage, and brief acknowledgements.

What your support makes possible

Corporate giving helps Friends present performances and community programs, pay artists and production teams fairly, and keep events affordable and welcoming.

When that work happens consistently, it creates the conditions that benefit local employers and businesses:

  • more reasons for people to come into town on a weeknight,
  • more visitors who linger (and spend),
  • a stronger sense of community and “things to do,”
  • and a region that feels vibrant to potential residents and employees.

In short: helping Friends helps strengthen the place your customers and workforce come from.

Ways to support

1) Sponsor a performance or event

Underwrite a specific show, screening, workshop, or community gathering. This is a great fit if you want support tied to a clear moment and audience—and clear visibility.

Support typically helps cover: artist fees, production needs, marketing, and keeping ticket prices accessible.

2) Season support

Season partners help fund a full lineup of programming, giving us the stability to plan ahead and book great artists with confidence—while keeping your brand consistently visible across the season.

3) Community access support

Support free or reduced-cost tickets for students, families, and neighbors. This is a meaningful way to demonstrate community leadership while helping grow future audiences (and future customers).

4) In-kind support

In-kind gifts can be incredibly helpful—especially when they reduce real costs. Examples include printing, advertising, supplies, professional services, or hospitality. We’ll work with you to make sure the gift is genuinely useful and recognized appropriately.

5) Employee giving & matching gifts

If your workplace offers matching gifts—or if you’d like to set up an employee giving drive—we can help make it easy and meaningful.

Recognition & benefits

We aim for recognition that feels like community partnership, not a commercial break. Depending on the level and type of support, benefits may include:

  • Logo/name placement on event pages and select marketing materials
  • On-site recognition at the event (signage and/or brief verbal thanks)
  • Social media and email recognition
  • Optional tickets or reserved seating (when appropriate)
