Food and Drink
Dining
Downtown Wilmington has plenty of dining options within an easy walk of Historic Memorial Hall—everything from quick bites to sit-down spots. We recommend arriving a little early if you’d like to grab dinner before the show.
Concessions
Most of our productions offer light refreshments and concessions, and select events will also include a cash bar. Outside alcohol is not permitted—patrons may not bring their own alcoholic beverages into Historic Memorial Hall.
Children, Babes in Arms, and Age Recommendations
Most events at Historic Memorial Hall are designed with adults in mind. As a general rule, we recommend our performances for ages 12–13 and up, since some shows may include adult themes or language. If a production is especially family-friendly (or has specific content guidance), we’ll note that on the event page and in any pre-show emails.
Every family is different, and we know comfort levels vary—so we encourage parents and guardians to use their best judgment. If you have questions about content or age-appropriateness beyond what’s listed, reach out to us at friends@friendsofthehallvt.org and we’ll do our best to help.
Children under 6 and babes in arms are not permitted during performances unless the event is specifically intended for young audiences. Unaccompanied minors age 12 and under are not permitted in The Hall.
Resale, Authorized Ticket Sellers, Contests and Giveaways
Buy tickets from the source. Tickets for Friends of Historic Memorial Hall events should be purchased through our official ticket link(s), unless an event page clearly states otherwise. When in doubt, reach out to us at friends@friendsofthehallvt.org and we’ll confirm what’s legitimate.
Third-party resale is at your own risk. Tickets bought through unofficial sellers or resellers may be fake, duplicated, canceled, or invalid—and you may be refused admission. This includes third-party ticket marketplaces and individuals reselling tickets.
We can’t fix tickets we didn’t sell. We’re not able to validate, replace, reprint, or refund tickets that weren’t purchased through our official sales channel.
Suspicious purchases may be voided. If we see unusual activity and can’t reach you to confirm a purchase, we may flag the order and void the tickets to protect you and other patrons.
No scalping. Tickets may not be resold for more than the original purchase price.
No promotional use without permission. Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests, giveaways, or sweepstakes without written approval from Friends.
A couple quick tips to avoid scams:
- If something feels off, email us at friends@friendsofthehallvt.org nd we’ll help you confirm you’re in the right place.
- If you’re searching online, paid ads from unofficial sellers often appear first—scroll for the official Friends/Memorial Hall link.
- Double-check the website address before you buy.
